"The Day After Tomorrow" Is the "Gulf Stream" stalling?

Source: thebigwobble.org

The Earth Wind Map  clearly agrees with the satellite photo below, a massive colder than average area in the middle of the gulf stream, the cold area in the Atlantic could have a devastating effect for the UK and Western Europe during the winter.

The majority of Northern Hemisphere Ocean Temperatures are Above Normal.

Analysis from NOAA satellites shows that sea surface temperatures in September 2014 were well above normal. In fact, 60% of the Northern Hemisphere ocean surface was 0.5°C or more above the 1981-2010 average. See below. An unlabeled version can be downloaded here.

Then there is a huge part of the gulf stream almost as big as the US which for some reason is colder than normal and it is the part of the gulf stream the U.K. and Europe rely on to keep their ports ice free and provide a temperate winter climate.

If the gulf stream has stalled the U.K. and Europe can expect a winter of devastation!

The water temperature around the U.K. and Europe appears to be higher than normal, but the waters are shallow and the sea is at its warmest in September but without the gulf stream supplying warm currents, these waters will quickly cool in the winter months and maybe even freeze, which would be devastating for the cities who rely on shipping.

The weather almost brought the U.K. to its knees last winter when storm after storm battered Britain for four months, bringing Lord Smith, chairman of the Environment Agency to say: 'Flood defences cost money.

There's no bottomless purse, and we need to make difficult but sensible choices.'

Could the Brits manage a massive freeze this winter after last year's unprecedented storms?
